We are looking for a driven backend engineer responsible for developing backend APIs in Ruby on Rails. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Responsibilities

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Implement security and data protection mechanisms
• Design and develop RESTful APIs
• Integrate backend services with multiple other APIs

Skills and Qualifications

• Expert in Ruby
• Experienced with building API's
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with being a part of an agile team
• Knowledge of authentication systems and how authorization works between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Strong unit-testing and debugging abilities
• Proficient understanding of version control systems (git)
• (BONUS) Experienced with DevOps tooling or Frontend Development
